CMI News – Utang global kembali mencatatkan rekor baru. Menurut laporan terbaru Institute of International Finance (IIF), total utang dunia kini mencapai US$ 337,7 triliun atau setara Rp 5.639 kuadriliun (kurs Rp16.700/US$) pada akhir kuartal II-2025. Angka ini melonjak lebih dari US$ 21 triliun hanya dalam enam bulan
Kenaikan utang ini tidak bisa dilepaskan dari kombinasi faktor global: pelemahan dolar AS, kebijakan moneter akomodatif bank sentral utama, serta pelonggaran kondisi keuangan yang mendorong ekspansi pembiayaan di berbagai negara.

Lonjakan Utang: Dari G7 hingga Negara Berkembang
IIF mencatat, peningkatan utang paling besar datang dari Tiongkok, Amerika Serikat, Jepang, Jerman, Prancis, dan Inggris. Pelemahan dolar—yang sudah terkoreksi hampir 10% sejak awal tahun—turut memperbesar angka utang dalam denominasi mata uang AS.
“Skala peningkatan ini sebanding dengan lonjakan utang pada paruh kedua 2020 saat pandemi, ketika pemerintah di seluruh dunia menggelontorkan stimulus besar-besaran,” tulis IIF dalam laporan Global Debt Monitor.
Selain negara-negara maju, lonjakan utang tajam juga terjadi di Kanada, Arab Saudi, Tiongkok, dan Polandia. Namun, ada pengecualian: Irlandia, Jepang, dan Norwegia justru mencatat penurunan rasio utang.
